The success of your blog can live and dies by its blog traffic. If your blog gets good traffic, you have a good chance of getting more traffic, increasing revenues and getting more exposure are very good. On the other hand, if you have little or no traffic, it really won't matter even if you do everything else right on your blog.
Here are 4 smart ways of increasing your blog traffic instantly.
1. Article Marketing
The key to article marketing is to make a schedule and stick to it. Article marketing is very a much numbers game. Don't ever think you can publish one article and you are done.
The best article marketers probably publish at least a dozen articles a month. Many aim to publish at least one or two per day.
The goal of article marketing is to target a mixture of low-competition low-traffic keywords and high competition high traffic keywords. You want to get your articles ranked for as many of those keywords as you can. If you do, your traffic can easily multiply until you start to get hundreds of visitors a day.
It can be lot of work, but you can automate some things to make it easier on yourself.
2. Guest Posting
Another method of using your content to generate blog traffic is through guest posting.
Create a list of twenty other blogs in your niche you respect and can relate to. You will be surprised how many blog owners are looking for fresh content for their sites. Email them and ask if they'd be interested in having some free content, in exchange for a link back to your website.
Here's the most important part. You need to have good relevant content for their blog. Let the owner of the site know what topic you are going to write a post about. If the blog or site owner does not get excellent content from you they're automatically going to assume that anything you write for them isn't going to be good enough for their readers.
On the other hand, if they're impressed by what they see, they'll want you to write more posts for them. You also need excellent content to get the blog readers to visit your site.
3. Blog Commenting
You should already be reading plenty of blogs in your niche. If not you should subscribe to ten or twenty blogs in your industry. You need to know what your competitors are doing.
The key here is to keep up with posts being added to the blogs. Whenever a new post is added, try to be the first one to comment. There are several tools out there that will let you know as soon as a blog has a new post.
Post intelligent comments that add value. Some blogs will let you link back to your site by putting in your website address. You can also link back to your site using the "name" field. I try not to do that. I look for blogs that will let me link back. Blog commenting will help you increase your blog traffic.
4. Use You Tube Traffic
You Tube can bring in massive amounts of blog traffic if you do it correctly.
Start by creating a YouTube channel and posting videos to it regularly. Create a schedule, such as once a day, three times a week or once a week. You want people to join your channel. They will expect to see new videos on your channel when they visit.
Pick specific keywords you want your videos to rank for. You want to put the keywords in the title and in the description of your video. Another good idea is to put your blog url at the very start of the description.
You can also use the videos on your blog. Embedding the video on your site is very easy. Just follow the instructions given on You Tube. If you have a WordPress site it's especially easy. People love to watch short videos so sprinkle them in with your blog posts.
Your blog will pick up traffic from your You Tube channel and your You Tube channel will get some traffic from your blog. Be sure to let your blog readers know you have a You Tube Channel where they can go to watch more of your videos.
These are 4 different ways you can get immediate blog traffic. Each one of the 4 requires action and persistence on your part. When you pick a method, formulate a plan and execute it. If you use all 4 of these methods the blog traffic will come and before you know it you will have hundreds of visitors a day.
