5 PR strategy to promote your new book

A book can be a great marketing tool to help you promote your personal brand and business. However, unless you are a well-known celebrity, there is a large publishing house behind your efforts, otherwise the work of promoting it will be up to you.

Over the years, working with many famous [and some less well-known] authors and speakers, there are some trading techniques that may be part of the most beneficial communication game plan.

1. Use this book for media coverage.

If your goal is to protect articles and editorials in targeted magazines, then publishing a book can increase your trust in journalists. They tend to think that those who have written books are better than those who have not written a higher level. After all journalists are writers, many of them want to publish their own books. The same is true for those who are engaged in TV interviews, radio interviews, blog writing and podcast appearances. Send a copy to the key influencer. Use this book to open the door and pursue the media you earn.

2. Use this book to talk about opportunities.

A lot of publicity, exposure and even sales can come directly from conferences and trade shows. It allows your business colleagues, customers, friends and others to know that you have written a book, you are the thought leader in the industry [what is this book intended to do?] Maybe you may just know something to help them Business activities. Who knows, you may receive calls from some people asking them how to purchase a copy.
