Are You A Coffee Lover? Read These Tips.

It is a bad idea to let coffee sit on a hot burner after brewing. Keeping the heat on will cause your coffee to “cook,” and will ruin its freshly-brewed flavor. Instead, unplug your coffee-maker or other appliance, or transfer the coffee to an insulated pot to keep it hot.

The human body needs at least four hours to eliminate caffeine. You should keep this in mind if you want to drink a cup of coffee before going to bed. It is best to drink a decaffeinated beverage if you need to go to sleep within the next few hours.

Therefore, preparing the night before is important.

To keep your coffee beans fresh, put them in the freezer. While many people refrigerate their coffee, doing so allows the beans to absorb odors from foods inside your fridge. A better solution is to freeze the beans. One easy approach is to divide the beans into several smaller packages so you can simply remove a package as needed.

If you have trouble staying awake and have been buying those expensive energy drinks, you should start drinking coffee instead. Each energy drink contains about 100-150 milligrams of caffeine. You can get the same effect from drinking a cup of coffee or two, and you will not have to spend as much money.

Understand that the fineness of your grind affects the quality of your coffee taste. A very fine grind will leave your coffee tasting really strong, whereas a course grind will give a very dull and weak taste. Some people prefer different types of tastes, so understand this before making coffee for them.

After cleaning your coffee grinder, grind a bit of coffee and then dump it. Since it is difficult to completely clean a coffee grinder, you can do this to get rid of any remaining old, stale grinds. Doing this should not be a substitute for a proper cleaning, however.

If you love the great taste of freshly brewed coffee, stay away from the grocery store. The beans you can grind on the coffee aisle say “fresh,” but have been sitting there for quite some time. Instead, go directly to the roaster’s website. Many places will ship your beans within a day or two of roasting, giving you maximum freshness!

Nowadays, coffee has become very expensive. If you drink a lot of coffee, and you are looking to save some money, it may be wise to buy your coffee in bulk. This will not only save you money, but it will also save you time from having to go out and buy it all the time. Many flavors are brands are available in bulk.

If you enjoy flavored coffee, add your flavoring syrup directly to your hot coffee. Add the syrup after you pour your coffee into your mug, then stir. Do not add milk until the flavoring has been absorbed. This allows the coffee to take on the flavor and amplifies the aroma and taste.

    Always store your coffee in an airtight container. If the beans are exposed to too much air, they will go stale and your coffee will taste terrible. Avoid using those square bags with one-way valves since they will not be airtight after their seal is broken. Their only purpose is for letting air escape when they cool after roasting.
