Anyone can build a simple catapult but how do you build one that’s programmed to move on its own? With code of course! Learn how different components of mechanical systems come together and enhance them through programming. Kids get to build robots that move, self-driving cars, machines that can take over the world and all that jazz. Just when you thought Lego couldn’t get more awesome, then came Lego Wedo. TADA! Lego Wedo’s similar to the Lego bricks everyone knows and love... BUT these come with sensors, motors and other mechanical parts. What's even cooler? Lego Wedo’s compatible with Scratch programming. Kids connect it to the computer and use Scratch to control their Lego inventions! Here’s a ticket dispensing machine built and programmed by one of our students (doesn't this remind you of how an ATM works?) Kids not only learn how machines can be programmed, bridging the gap between hardware & software, but are also shown how the 2 are seamlessly interconnected & are increasingly ever present in everyday life. Open their eyes to a world of possibilities! OH! THE STUFF YOU'LL LEARN! What’s Lego Wedo Mechanics: How Sensors & Motors work Prototype A Machine Learn about programming concepts in Scratch Build and Code your machine Presentation Time! LIFE SKILLS LEARNT Logical Thinking Systems Thinking Game Design Presentation Skills Pedagogy No lectures. No memorisation. No ONE right answer. Like real life, we're all about trying things out, failing, figuring what went wrong & trying again. These are the skills & mindset that will last a lifetime. Let's get kids to learn how to learn. Because the kids who learn to learn become curious, inventive, resourceful human beings who solve real world problems to make meaningful impact. Parents love us "...and for the first time he is not running to play other people's creations but his own... I am absolutely delighted in the 'mindset' change in my son's attitude." - Emma, Parent "Thank you for a wonderful and exciting enrichment program that is so much more than academics.. it's fun but for me as a mum, an important future skill set for my son." - Rachel, Parent Got more questions on this course of awesomeness?
