Product Development Course Provider: Health & Science Innovations, Inc. and the IDEAA Partnership Program Length: 3 days, total of 24 hours Capacity: 24 Overview: With the advancement of manufacturing technologies and the transition towards personalized products, the skills needed to secure a job or for career advancement are constantly evolving. The Computer Aided Engineering course will provide you with the ability to learn about the applications of CAE and theory about different types of modeling. The goal is to provide participants with a comfort level understanding of the skills and technologies that are present or needed in companies with new product development and prototyping operations. Emphasis is given to computer aided design and the process of 3D printing. Participants who complete this program will receive a certificate of completion and will be recommended for advancement scholarships to continue studies at a higher education institution or for authorized software training courses. Higher education scholarships are provided by Health & Science Innovations and range from 0 to ,000, depending on the program of study and financial need. Boner Community Center Cost: 5/person (includes application fee) The application ticket is a non-refundable fee that allows you to reserve a spot in the program while submitting an application for a scholarship. Tuition payment can be sent at a later time. This course will provide you with a practical understanding of the applications of computer aided engineering in topics such as automotive industry and renewable energy. Minimum age is 16. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We offer IndyGo passes for those who do not have their own method of transportation and have applied for reduced tuition. Free parking is available. How do I qualify for the scholarship ticket? Scholarship tickets are available on a need basis, and on a first come first serve basis. Any student who participate in a Free or Reduced meals plan is eligible. Any individual who can demonstrate that he or she is under 300% of the Federal Poverty level qualifies. If you are unsure or choose the Scholarship ticket, please send a copy of your previous year tax return to firstname.lastname@example.org and we can evaluate your eligibility for a scholarship ticket. What can I bring into the event? You may bring snacks, your own laptop and a notebook to take notes. If you are planning on bringing your own laptop there may be software you will need to install previous to attending the course. We will send the list of required software and instructions after you register. Most courses can be taken with an Intel i5 processor (or similar), 8 GB of RAM (4GB min.), and at least 50-100 GB of storage memory. For engineering simulations we suggest using an Intel i7 (or similar) processor, 16GB min. of RAM, 100 GB of memory storage and an independent graphics card. If you need to cancel your participation in our program you will be refunded any unused portion of the program. Non-refundable fees include 10% of the tuition, and registration fee (). Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You will not need to bring a printed ticket of the event if you bring your ID. If you are transferring your seat to another person, please have that person bring the ticket. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Yes, you may transfer your registration for the class to another person. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, as long as the same person attends the entire course or program.
