What are the funnels and how do they work?
When referring to the word funnel, I usually imagine the car and the oil funnel in the photo when the car is turned on. I am not the only one, I know, because there are many people who want me to explain what the marketing funnel is. This question is confusing and a bit discouraged, but not necessarily.
The marketing funnel is really simple, and some make it more complicated than it needs to be. In fact, the best and most successful funnel has only 3 steps and is very simple. The more steps you add, the more likely it is that the viewer will not be able to complete the process that is designed to achieve a final result.
The end result or goal of the channel can be many things, including sales, opt-in, phone, registration or leadership. These are called conversions and are the end result of the channel.
Even if someone doesn't understand what the marketing channel is, the website is a funnel. Some people set up their website to attract traffic to their websites for specific purposes, such as purchasing products. They may see an ad ad on another website and click on it to visit someone's website. Visitors read some website content and click to go to the next step or make a purchase.
This is a typical sales funnel, it sounds simple, right? It is said that there are more than 2 billion online viewers, and any website owner wants to get as much traffic as possible to access their website.
Through social media sites and various promotional campaigns on the forums, writing articles, podcasts, produced videos or webinars, the site owner draws traffic to the funnel that is transmitted through the site page, the percentage will click to continue, the rest Will move to something else.
This is the simplicity of the funnel. As mentioned above, the end result or goal may be to get an email address, let the visitor click on something or make a purchase, each of which is considered a conversion.
Depending on the design of the funnel, some of the funnels have more steps for the visitor, but the fewer the steps, the better the results.
How do they work?
Think of yourself as a guide, guide visitors to your site and direct them to where you want them to go and how you want them to. Website owners try to guide them to click here or go there to see a great product that enriches their lives in one way or another.
